I think their service is really interesting, especially from a designers perspective, so today I emailed them. This is what I wrote:

Dear sir/ madam

Im a graphic design student The University of the Arts in London, currently working on my final piece on my BA.

My subject is church signs/ religious advertisement/ sign design, and Ive been focusing my research on church- signs all over London.

Im writing to you because I find your service/ buisnes particulary interesting, especially from a designers perspective.

you seem to have made up strategies,rules and systems to custom make and produce the best possible church sign for your clients. Would you be able to tel me a bit more about this?

If you have time these are my questions:

1: How did you start working in the sign buisnes, and hows youre story from the beginnning until now?

2: How did you make up your guidelines/ structures for the designing?

3: Are there any quotes/ messages on the signs that are more common than others, or that you find particularly interesting?

4: How does your question sheet work? (is there for example so that if I have a red church building, there is a specific color you would suggest making my sign in etc?)

5: do you also design logos and mascots?

6: Do you know of any other businesses that work with the same as you? In that case who?

7: Have you got any outstanding stories about jobs requested?
