Church signs in London/ 2: Clapham and Brixton

Some of the signs I found in Brixtonand Clapham.

To find the churches Ive been using a webpage called yell.com that shows me all the churches within a certain area on a map. IN that way all I need to do is to print out the map and go to shoot.

I had a great time in Clapham. First of all Ive never been there before, so it was a new part of the town for me, and secondly I found some amazing signs outside the All Nations Church that Ive never seen anything like before. They were big, bold, yellow and had the quotes : " We need to talk- God" and "Lets meet at mine sunday before Lunch". From what Ive seen in London so far they stand very much out, and reminds me alot about what Ive seen in the states, where the advertisment and humorur strategy seems to be much more aloive than over here.

I also found examples of very modern graphic design (the christiaan home and marriage poster) as well as the total oposite.

Clapham and Brixton is net to Hackkney/ dalston/ eastlondon and elephant and castle/ south London areas known for their pentacostal gospel churches as there is many people from the carbiean and africa who lives there. In Brixton I for the first time in London also felt like a minority as a white man on the street. Very interesting day.
